Something new is growing at Backyard Homestead Marketplace.
As part of our mission to strengthen our community, share practical knowledge, and create opportunities for neighbors to connect, we are developing a variety of community events, workshops, demonstrations, and educational activities.
Our goal is to create events that bring people together to learn useful skills, discover local businesses and resources, and share knowledge that can help families live more self-reliant and connected lives.
What We're Planning
Future events may include hands-on workshops and demonstrations covering topics such as gardening, food preservation, homesteading skills, cooking and baking, sewing and traditional crafts, woodworking, home and household skills, and other practical topics.
We also hope to offer opportunities such as local vendor events, seasonal activities, educational programs, community gatherings, and special events supporting our charitable mission and the local businesses and families we serve.
Programming will continue to grow as instructors, volunteers, community partners, and available resources are identified.
Share What You Know
Some of the best knowledge in a community already belongs to the people who live there.
If you have a skill, trade, craft, or area of practical knowledge that you would be interested in sharing through a future workshop, demonstration, or educational program, we'd like to hear from you.
Local businesses, organizations, educators, experienced hobbyists, makers, growers, and other community members may have opportunities to participate as our programming develops.
